From Corporate to Cocktails
For years, I’ve lived in the corporate world – managing teams, crunching code, breaking systems, and relishing the world of information security.
It’s always been rewarding work that kept my brain sharp and challenged me to grow, but all of the things I love about doing it, I missed the ability to create something tangible with my own hands that could bring joy to and serve others.
About a decade ago I discovered the world of craft cocktails, and what started as a hobby, mixing libations for friends and guests, quickly became an all-consuming passion. I was hooked – not just on the exquisite flavors, but on the entire experience that surrounds a perfectly crafted cocktail, from the science behind the spec, the performance of mixing the drink, to the sheer joy of serving it.
The craft experience is so much more than just drinks. It’s service, it’s passion, it creates a vibe, an atmosphere, and a sense of belonging to an exclusive club. And let me tell you, once you’re on the inside, there’s no going back.
That’s why I’ve embraced the prohibition-era theme – it captures that feeling of being part of a clandestine indulgence, savoring the forbidden fruits of the craft away from prying eyes. When you step into one of my events, you’re instantly transported to a world where you’re “in the know”, part of that select group that truly appreciates the artistry behind every perfectly crafted cocktail.
Since trading in my cubicle for the bar, I’ve had the pleasure of bartending all sorts of shindigs – from swanky soirees to neighborhood game nights. I’ve created bespoke menus that transport guests to different eras and exotic locales. I’ve been a guest bartender, bringing the craft experience to your favorite local haunts. I’ve consulted on cocktail programs and trained up-and-coming bartenders eager to level up their game.
But here’s the thing – my background in that corporate world hasn’t gone to waste. It instilled in me a deep appreciation for exceptional service and attention to detail. And now, I’m combining that with my passion for craft cocktails to create truly extraordinary experiences.
